22 things I liked in 2022

There's a lot I didn't hear or see yet this year, but here are 22 things I thought were cool. (It wasn't intentional, but yes, there's kind of an "old people are still capable of greatness" theme).

1. Your 2022 NBA Champions, the Golden State Warriors

This was probably the most surprising thing of 2022.

2. Jackass Forever

I have never had so much fun seeing a movie by myself.

3. Immolation - Acts of God

Possibly their best record since Dawn of Possession?

4. The Rehearsal - Episode 1: "Orange Juice, No Pulp"

The whole season was great, but the first episode was unmatched. An amazing concept executed perfectly.

5. Lionel Messi, World Cup Champion

I get kind of annoyed by people root for players and not teams, but I am absolutely guilty of that with soccer, especially the World Cup/Olympics. I have no interest in rooting for any particular country, but I needed Messi to get a proper sendoff from international play and was so happy to see it happen.

6. Immanuel Wilkins - The 7th Hand

7. Dream Unending - Song of Salvation

8. The Northman

9. Cave In - Heavy Pendulum

10. Cel Genesis - Shallow Dream

11. Nduduzo Makhathini - In The Spirit Of Ntu

13. Coach K losing the last home game of his career to UNC and then losing to them again in the Final Four

14. Powerhouse - Renegades

15. Björk - Fossora

 16. Tzompantli - Tlazcaltiliztli

17. Corpsegrinder - S/T

18. Barbarian

19. Nightfell - Never Comes the Storm

20. Abysmalist - Vile Possession

21. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

22. Defective Chain demo
